Today.. This is what I'm thinking.

Today is Tuesday, which means Taylor and I are up in Salt Lake City at school. We do this every Tuesday and Thursday till December 13 (only 25 more days.. but whose counting right!?) and I am not counting for the reasons that most students are counting. Believe it our not I really love school. I love learning new things about the stuff that I am interested in (which I am completely uninterested in anything to do with English.. Which luckily I am not taking this semester). The problem that I have with going to school right now is that I am away from my amazing, loving, adorable son.

Before last week the longest I had ever been away from him was 3-4 hours, and you can ask my husband those few hours I'm not very fun to be around normally, and I really love that I can say that. I love being with my son. Yes we have hard times and I want to cry and pull my hair out but even in those moments(sometimes hours) I want to be with him rather than away from him. I don't really feel like I need alone time away from him. I'm sure this will change, but I am really happy that I feel this way. Although now going to school and having to be away from him for 2 days a week from 8:45am-7:30pm I am not liking feeling this way at all. I had no idea I would miss him this much and want to know what he is doing ever second. I guess that is something I have taken for granted for the last 8 months or so.

Even though I hate the feels that I have while I am gone I am so grateful that Taylor and I have such wonderful family and friends in our lives that are able to watch Kristoffer for us. We don't have to send him to a day care with lots of other children and we don't have to pay anyone so we save some extra cash. Taylor's parents and I'm sure siblings are helping us out by watching him at their house. So I can rest easy that he is getting all the love and attention that he most definitely deserves and needs (which might be more than most would think but I think my little guy is so incredible and deserves all the love in the world. What parents wouldn't right!?)

I know this post doesn't have much purpose and I'm sure if anyone is even reading this they are like thinking why is she blabbing on and on. But I just wanted to write how I am feeling and how grateful I am for all the help we get. I now I don't do a good job of showing appreciation to people but hopefully this shows some.

Hope everyone is having a good week so far and if not know that it can still turn around if you want it to!

New Morning Routine

So believe it or not I have finally decided I'm done messing around and I am kicking my butt back into shape so that I can look like this again....

yes that is my beautiful best friend kay kay :)

so every morning when I wake up I have started to do this...

Morning Ritual = Results

Then at night I am going to try to run at least a mile and work my way up (gotta start somewhere right?!)

To keep me a little more motivated I am going to make this...

motivator

Looks like something that would motivate me to lose more so that I can move more.. and by being able to see it visually might help.. Maybe ha

and of course I am going to eat healthy. I'm not going on a diet because that doesn't seem to work for me at least but I am going to be smart and eat the things I love in small portions and only every once in a while.

So this is my plan and I am hoping it will work. I am just tired of not looking or feeling like myself and I just want the only me back.. not too much to ask for right?!
Wish me luck.

Till Next Time!

8 months old

Kristoffer turned 8 months old a couple days ago and it is just so unreal to me. He is definitely getting bigger and definitely getting his own personality and opinion. It's crazy he actually will do this thing like he is yelling at you if you don't give him what he wants or stop paying attention to him.. I am SO looking forward to his future :)

So here are his 8 month stats:
- He wears size 2 and 3 diapers... He wears 2's during the day and 3's at night so he doesn't wet through his pajamas.
- He wears size 3-6 month clothes and some 6-12 months (still pretty big).
- He is eating oatmean and bananas or pears for breakfast (We just started feeding him fruit a couple weeks ago but only for breakfast.) and either rice cereal, mixed grain cereal, or whole wheat cereal with sweet potatoes, squash, peas, or carrots for lunch and dinner. He doesn't really like green beans but will eat them if thats what he is given. He eats every 4 or more hours and has an 8 oz bottle every night before bed.
- He still has not slept through the night.. He wakes up anywhere from 1 time to sometimes 4 or 5 times a night. But we are not losing hope :)
-He loves to crawl around the apartment and stand up on anything and everything that he can.
-His favorite thing to do is play outside.
-He likes to drink water out of his sippy cup, normal cup (with help), or a straw (again with help).
- He loves the gerber snacks like the yogart bites (strawberry or peach) and the rice snacks (banana or sweet potatoes).
- He loves to talk and smile. He is a very very happy boy except when he is tired or teething(which we think he is doing right now)
- He has is two lower front teeth and we think his top 2 front teeth are working there way through now.

This is all I can think of for now, but Kristoffer has been such an amazing blessing in our lives. He has changed us and definitely helped us see life in a new and better way. He is our everything and wouldn't change a single thing about him.

Till Next Time!

Moving so fast... Literally

okay YES it has been a very very long time and I plan to post lots of pictures very soon but yesterday was pretty awesome and I want to make sure I document it.

Yesterday Kristoffer had a few firsts.
- He has been scooting on his stomach for a while now and yesterday he started crawling on his knees!! and sometimes on all four.. Its pretty funny to watch.

- He can lift himself up in his crib, therefore leading to the midnight lowering of the crib ha

- He also can lift himself up on the couch and walk along it all by himself.

Can he really be getting so big so fast! I think the reason I haven't blogged lately is because I don't want to miss anything he does ha but I am going to do my very best to start being better about it!

OKAY OKAY OKAY.... I started writing this last Wednesday and haha believe or not my computer died before I could finish and post this soo here I am almost a week later and I am finishing it. Better late then never right. So to clarify This all happened last Tuesday August 21, 2012.

4 months!!! WOOOOT :) can you say solids??

Yep thats my little BIG guy. Okay he really isn't that big but he is big in the sense that HE IS 4 MONTHS OLD!!!! I mean can this really be?? I'm a mama to the most wonderful 4 month old in the world! How did I get so lucky!

He really is such an amazing angel and most definitely heaven sent.

Some updates on him:
He loves to talk. he is definitely like his mother :)
He loves his bath time! but lets get real who does...
He is still wearing 0-3 clothes and I don't think that will be changing any time soon.
He rolls from his tummy to his back
He sleeps in 3 hour intervals at night.. We are working on this ;)

We went to the doctor today for his 4 month check up (hate the shots!) and we got some great/interesting news.

Lets start with the interesting news..
Kristoffer is in the 8% for his weight and 10% for his height.. but don't you worry his head is in the 51% haha. Not sure why but that makes me laugh (about his head)
Dr. Glade says there is nothing to worry about.. He is just a little guy. Which Taylor and I keep telling him to stay little forever and looks like we have a great listener on our hands!!

 The great news is...
Dr. Glade told us a lot of the things that he is doing are very advanced for his age. He really shouldn't be doing the things till 6 months at the earliest. (He says we either have a genius or a very hyper active child.. lets hope for the genius;). He was very impressed by him and how happy he was.

In conclusion to all of this Dr. Glade wants us to start feeding Kristoffer solid food 2 times a day. He believes that this should help with his size, his lack of sleeping, and because he is so advanced it should help with his eating habit(or lack of) so we are pretty dang excited for this. He is growing up so fast, much faster than planned since I wasn't planning on feeding him solids till he was at least 6 months old but hey change is good!

Kristoffer is such a strong little guy and we can see Christ in him all the time. He has such a sweet spirit and we love him so much.

Till Next Time!

Lions, Tigers, and Bears OH MY!!!

We got to go to the Hogle Zoo with some of Taylor's family about a month ago. It was Kristoffer and my first time there! It was a lot of fun and we got to see lots of animals :)
